Triads
From the course: Theory for the Contemporary Guitarist
Triads
(triumphant guitar music) - All right, it's time to extend ourselves beyond the two-note interval and start looking at chords. A chord is three or more notes played at the same time. The first type of chord we'll look at is the triad which is a three-note chord. There are four basic qualities of triads: major, minor, diminished, and augmented. I'll go over each triad so that you'll gain a better understanding of these chords.
