Make things look alike technique

- [Voiceover] So in this video, I'll talk about a technique that I just simply call making things look alike technique. And I use this because certain GRE math questions are gonna ask you to compare two quantities even some multiple choice questions are gonna be made easier if you can rewrite terms in the problem to make them more similar so that you can simplify or reduce. So I'll show you a couple examples here. So this one on the left, we got 21 to the twelfth over three to the seventh times seven to the third. And, we can't really do a whole lot with that unless, let's see, we can simplify 21 to the twelfth and break it up into three to the twelfth times seven to the twelfth. And now if we rewrite this, we've got an opportunity to reduce. So it's going be three to the twelfth over three to the seventh reduces to three to the fifth and seven to the twelfth over seven to the third reduces to seven to the ninth.
