Save your workbook as a PDF file
- [Instructor] Tableau lets you create terrific visualizations, and once you create them, of course, you'll want to share them. There are a number of ways that you can do that, and in this movie I will show you how to print or save a visualization to a PDF file. PDF is the Portable Document Format, and it's handy if you want to send your documents but not have any interaction available. I'll demonstrate how to create a PDF using the 03_07_AsPDF workbook. You can find that in the chapter three folder of the exercise files collection. This workbook contains two worksheets, tree map and bar chart, and if I want to save as a PDF, I can go to File and then click Print to PDF, and it's called Print to PDF because technically what you're doing is sending the file to a print manager, but instead of creating a file that goes to a printer, it goes to another file on your computer.
