- [Instructor] Dashboards provide useful summaries for your company's operations bringing the most important values to a central location. In many cases, decisions require you to look at a subset of your data, perhaps sales from a particular class of employee, or for a department. In this movie, I will show you how to create a filter action so you can focus on specific sets of your data. My sample file is 12 05 filter, and you can find it in the chapter 12 folder of your exercise files collection. In this workbook, I have a dashboard with four sheets of information, and let's say that I want to filter based on sales by specific job titles. So at the bottom left I have my different job titles for my employees. So, Sales Associate, Sales Associate one, and the others you see there.
