- [Instructor] In many cases, your business will collect data that contains two numerical attributes, which you can then graph using a scatter plot. For example, if you tracked customer income versus their total purchase, in this case sales total, then you can look for patterns. In this movie, I will show you how to create a scatter plot in Tableau using two sets of numerical values. My sample file is 08_04_Scatter, and you can find it in the chapter eight folder of the exercise files collection. This workbook contains a single worksheet, and over on the left you can see that I have income and sales total. I want to create a scatter chart with a dot that would show the intersection for each customer's income and sales total and look for patterns. So I'll start by dragging income to the column shelf.
