In today's world, sustainability does not only apply to physical products but also to digital interactions. So what exactly do we mean by sustainable user experience? Let's break it down. Sustainable UX refers to designing digital products and interfaces in a way that minimizes their negative impact on the environment. The concept itself has been around for quite some time, actually since 1987, when it was first discussed in a Brundtland Report by the United Nations. Initially, this report focused on physical products, but then it has evolved to include digital experiences to meet user needs and also encourage them to practice more sustainable behavior in their lifestyle.
