(upbeat music) - Leadership can be a lonely endeavor. And so is intelligent disobedience, if you're doing it alone. Ideally, everyone in your organization should engage in intelligent disobedience. But this is not an ideal world. There are a set of characteristics that people need to display to engage in intelligent disobedience. So let's talk about those characteristics. First is driven to contribute. A person that engages intelligent disobedience is always looking for that better outcome or the better way to get to that outcome. Next, short and longterm business outcome focus. They have a tendency to understand what happens in the short-term and what happens in the longterm from an active intelligent disobedience. So they can weigh those options before deciding whether they're going to act. Next is a healthy assessment of change, and the degree of change the organization can take.
