- [Instructor] Design's no fun without content. So let's get to doing some fun stuff in our Sketch file. At the end of this video, you'll learn to add various kinds of shapes, like circles or rectangles to your Sketch document. Inserting a shape is the same thing as inserting an artboard. You go to the Insert tool without your toolbar or main menu and select the shape that you want. The top or the most popular shapes have shortcuts for them. Let's choose a rectangle. Once you've selected the tool, you have to draw the shape. We can do this on the canvas or like me, you can do it on your splash screen. You'll notice two things once you've put this shape on your artboard. The first thing is that we can now see a shape in our sidebar. Sometimes I name my shapes but most times, I don't. The other thing that you'll notice is that we suddenly have access magically to a lot more properties within our inspector. All…
