- [Instructor] This course consists of a series of demonstrations and if you would like to try out some of the things I'm demonstrating, there are a few things that you will need. First, you'll need to have SharePoint Online. There are two different SharePoint products. One is SharePoint Server, which is installed on one or more servers at an organization and that's why it's also referred to as SharePoint On-premises or On-prem. You'll find courses on SharePoint Server elsewhere in the LinkedIn Learning Library. This course focuses on SharePoint Online, which is generally licensed for organizational use as part of Microsoft 365, so it's also called SharePoint for Microsoft 365 or sometimes SharePoint for Office. SharePoint Online also lives on a server but that server isn't at your local organization, that server is a Microsoft server in the cloud.
