- [Instructor] I'm going to talk with you about permissions because permissions determine everything that happens with you in SharePoint. So we'll get this out of the way, and then we don't need to return to it again in this course. When you log into SharePoint, you interact with individual sites, and the content stored in those sites based on the permissions that you have been granted. SharePoint uses role-based access control, which means that your SharePoint administrator or your site owner can very precisely control access to content. SharePoint comes with built-in permission roles: full control, design, edit, contribute, read, limited access, and view only are built-in permission roles. Each SharePoint site that gets created includes default SharePoint groups, three of them, that utilize one of these roles. In SharePoint team sites, the three groups that are created are site owners, site members, and site visitors.…
