Set unique permissions for a library

My current document library is used by everyone on the site, it's a collaboration space. But I have a need for a document library where we keep documents that should not be available to everyone. They are documents that are evaluations of projects and of employees, and we don't want them to be broadly available. They're really for the management team. So I'm going to begin by clicking "Home" to go to the top of my site and choose to create a new document library. And this could be invoices, media, library, learning, we have some templates. I could create a new document library from an existing library, or simply create a blank document library, which is fine. This new library is going to be called Management Docs. Documents for managers of the Wind Installations team. Do I want it to appear in the site navigation? Sure.
