They're one example of an organization that's recently done just that. After having declared that they would achieve reduction in their cost base to less than eight billion pounds by 2020, the CEO recently announced that the automation initiatives within the bank have already been responsible for 600 thousand hours given back to the business in 2018 alone. In addition, their investment and commitment to a digital operation has seen the development of a specialized Center of Excellence, the training of many dozens of people, and numerous robots programmed and put to work, complementing a significant investment in more complex algorithms to further enhance operations.
