Refining a layout with temporary dimensions

- [Instructor] In this video, I want to discuss a really important concept in Revit, and that is one that I like to term either progressive refinement or sketch, then modify. Now, these are both my descriptions for this concept, but the concept is really quite simple. In Revit, what you typically want to do when you're facing a layout task is you want to quickly and roughly lay out the geometry first, and then come back and slowly and progressively refine it into its more correct configuration. So you can think of that as you start with a really rough idea and then you progressively refine, refine, refine it. Or you start with a really simple rough sketch and then you modify that sketch. So either way, with either description, and those are both my descriptions, they're not official Revit terminology by any stretch, but if you think of either of those two concepts, they're really describing the same thing.
