Creating a custom basic wall type
- [Instructor] This video, we're going to create our own custom wall type. Now, we're going to be focused on basic walls here and we're going to create a wall for this condition right here in these restrooms. So, the wall that's there is a bit narrow to receive the plumbing that would be required in that wall, so we're going to create our own custom type to accommodate that situation. Now, what I typically recommend that you do when you are getting ready to create your own custom wall type is to start with a wall that's close to the one that you want to create. And I've done that here in this situation. So, this wall is the same as any of these others in these other spaces here. And the assembly structure of that wall is that it is a metal stud in the center and then it's got a layer of drywall on each side, so it's a pretty basic stud wall construction.
