Introduce your agenda

- I once worked for an organization that had a fantastic policy for meetings. The policy was this: no agenda, no meeting. This meant if you didn't have a written agenda ahead of the meeting, you didn't need to go. This no agenda, no meeting policy, it's great because the most effective way to introduce an agenda is actually long before your presentation. Your written agenda briefly lets people know what to expect. It also keeps everyone on time and on task. Your agenda usually includes the purpose of the presentation, what will be discussed, who will be participating, and how long your presentation will last. For most meetings and presentations, make sure your audience has your agenda in writing before you present. For example, you can see the title and length of this very video. Guess what?
