- We have covered a lot of ground in Chapter 2, but let's summarize quickly. The main point is that writing your ideas down in script format helps you to think more clearly and present your ideas in a more structured fashion. It also prevents you from rambling, from the verbal pauses, and stress that come from speaking in the moment. And learning how to notate your script for the variations in speech that native speakers are listening for. Help you to focus not on what you're saying, but how you're connecting better with your audience. And we, we covered many different types of scoring from respell, difficult words, and perhaps even your name. To scoring for prominence and focus, those words that highlight the meaning of what you're saying. We looked at pitch as one element of sounding more dynamic and confident.
