- [Narrator] Hey there. Guess what? It's the moment you've been waiting for. It's time to record your first episode. So let's do this. First thing you need to do is get ready. You want to warm up your voice. If you're doing an interview, you want to talk with your guest to make sure that everybody's comfortable and knows what they're doing. The next thing you want to do is you want to position the microphone so that it is two to four inches from your mouth and at a 45 degree angle to your mouth. Now move your pop filter so that it is halfway between your mouth and the microphone. Next, you want to make sure everything is as quiet as possible. Is the room quiet? Are your clothes quiet? Do you have jewelry on that makes noise? Also, turn off the notifications on your computer, on your phone, or any other device that might be in the room. And then finally, connect your microphone to the computer through the USB port…
