A checklist for more effective presentations
- Presentations are a singular moment, when everything you've been working for, everything you've been preparing, comes down to this one chance to make your case. Obviously that's a critical time, and we've all heard lots of advice about things to avoid. Don't have too much text on your slides. Don't read from a script. You know the drill. But if you really want to be effective, here are six questions you should ask yourself to make sure your presentation is hitting the right notes, answering listener objections before they even occur, and setting the stage for your audience to say yes. First, what's the problem you're solving? It may be perfectly clear to you, why you need to increase the devices screen size by two inches, or expand into the Latin American market, or hire more frontline workers.
