- Research published in Harvard Business Review shows remote workers often feel left out at work saying things like, colleagues are not fighting for my priorities, or coworkers make decisions and changes without letting me know. It's understandable given the nature of remote workers being well remote. But out of sight, out of mind, is something to mindfully prevent. You don't want remote employees feeling inferior. Here's a one minute habit to practice called flip and foster to make remote workers feel included, not excluded. It's simple. Flip one thing, foster two things. Flip things mentally, meaning if you're onsite, think of the onsite employee who sees you often and can drop by your office or cubicle whenever, as being second priority for communication responsiveness.
