- When I got my first post-college job, I thought I had it made. My salary was $36,000, which was way more than anything I had ever made. When I heard the verbal offer, I eagerly accepted. Oh, how I wish I had this course back then. I found myself in a misaligned role that no paycheck could keep me satisfied. In fact, the day that I received a significant raise was the same day I resigned. While I don't believe there's a perfect job, I do believe that career satisfaction exists.
