- Whenever you meet someone new, make a note of their eye color. This way, you'll be giving the ideal amount of eye contact to make a really positive first impression. According to body language experts eye contact is one of the greatest indicators of confidence which can translate into charisma. It establishes connection, shows sincerity, project self-esteem and credibility. Appropriate eye contact can even make you appear more likable, attentive, attractive, and memorable. So during conversations, in meetings with coworkers or clients, remember eye contact, it has a huge amount of power. Now, a quick note, this does vary culturally. So know your cultural norms. And what if you're virtual? Well simulate eye contact by looking directly into the camera when you speak, it makes a difference.
