- [Instructor] Now I want to bring up something that's a little bit of a sticky topic, and it's called Mid-Side filtering. Mid-Side filtering is something that's totally worth looking into and thinking about and having in your tool chest. It's not something that you're going to need to use all the time. In fact, it's not something that you need to use ever, really. This is sort of one of those upper echelon type moves that can often, and when I say often, I mean, because of the fact that many people are not listening on systems that are going to translate and give you a good enough picture of what's happening in your mix in order to make decisions like this, this is a very specific sort of surgical thing, but it's something worth bringing up because something to think about and who knows, it may come in handy some day. I actually got this trick from Mosty who's a really cool engineer who does a lot of Latin music.…
