Open chats in separate windows

You can open a chat conversation in a separate window in Teams. Choose a conversation from your list of recent chats. Point at the conversation and the pop-out button will appear. Click the pop-out button to open the conversation in a separate window. You can move the window side by side. Then you can switch to a different section in the main Teams window. You can work on other things in Teams while also seeing the chat conversation. When you're finished, you can close the chat window. If you prefer, you can set Teams to open new conversations in a separate window. In the top right, click the button with three dots to open the menu, then go to settings. In the general category, you can set the option for starting chats to new window. Then when you go to the chat section and click the compose button, it will start the new chat conversation in a separate window.
