Make and share Loop components

- [Instructor] We'll start by introducing Loop components. These are used for sharing pieces of information with your teammates, which can be edited, shared, and reshared even after the original component has been sent. I think Outlook is a good place to start, but soon we will see that you can also work with Loop components in other Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Word and Teams. But here in Outlook, I'm composing a new email message, and to add a Loop component to an email, make sure the message ribbon is active at the top, then you should find the button here for Loop components. In this menu, you'll need to choose which type of component you want. Different types of components can hold different types of information. So you could insert a paragraph of text, or a list, or a table. I'm going to start with a Task list. That puts the component here in the message. I'll put in a title in this component. Then I'll fill some information into this list. Now that I've made the component and added the information that I want, I can just send this email. One great thing about Loop components is that the people who receive that email can make changes in the component even after I've sent it. Since I sent that email to Stewart, let's take a look at Stewart's computer. Here on Stewart's computer, we can see he has received this email. I'll open that and we can see the Loop component in that email message, and we can do something that you would never be able to do with a normal email. Stewart can make changes here in this component. So in this case, Stewart will go through and just set a few due dates on this task list. Now that he's done that, we can switch back to my computer, and I can find that email in my sent messages. So I'll go to my Sent Items folder. I can see that message that I sent, and I can see the Loop component there, including the changes that Stewart just made. I can see those due dates that he set, and I could make my own changes from here. So that's the general idea of how a Loop component works. These are not duplicates of a component. We are both seeing a live connection to the same shared component, which either of us can edit at any time.
