- In the last video, we talked about why email marketing is so great. So why do you need SMS marketing at all? Well, because it's 10 times more effective than email marketing. Yes, that is a real number. So if email marketing has a 15% open rate and a 3% click-through rate, SMS has a 98% open rate. Well, yeah, everyone opens their texts, so what? Well, it also has a 30% clickthrough rate, three versus 30. The only disparity here is it's slightly harder to get someone to give you their phone number than their email address, but it's nowhere close to 10 times harder or even twice as hard.
