- [Narrator] In this movie, we're going to take a look at patches. We're going to open up a patch and dissect what makes up a patch, and then we're going to learn how to store and save our own customized patches. As you see here, I have a new project. There's one track in there, a drummer track. Now let's make a new track by clicking on this plus button and we're going to explore the library of patches. So I'm going to click open library. I'm going to choose a software instrument track, and we'll click create. Now, by default, Logic opens up the classic electric piano, but it also opened up the library. So I can go in here and choose synthesizer lead and we'll scroll all the way up and we'll choose the seventies analog lead. Now, when I do this, effectively we loaded up a patch into this track. Let me go ahead and close the library for now. And let's look over here on the left at what makes up this patch. There's actually a few components to a patch. First of all, if you want to hear…
