Auto-create Visio diagrams from data in Excel

- [Instructor] Data Visualizer is the name Microsoft has given to an excellent example of integration between Excel and Visio. It allows you to enter data in Excel and watch as Visio automatically builds a diagram from your data. If you want to create a flowchart, you might begin with data like this, where each row defines a step in the process. You provide a unique ID and a description for each step, identify the ID of the row that follows each step and then select the shape type that corresponds to one of the shapes in the Visio stencil. If you'd like, you can also include values for other shape data fields and then Visio builds the flowchart. Sound like magic? Let's start with a simple example by launching Visio. On the new page in Visio, select templates, open the flowchart category and select basic flowchart Data Visualizer.
