This not only provides an opportunity for students to learn from one another, but can also help them develop important online communication skills. To establish this type of environment, consider requiring students to participate in discussions and to respond to their classmates' pulse. While they may only do it at first because they have to, it often sparks them to become more comfortable communicating with one another.
