Add part libraries to a Capture project

- [Instructor] I'm going to show you something that will save you a whole lot of time when you build a circuit diagram and that's how to use library parts. Part libraries are saved as .OLB files and they contain all kinds of parts you can use in your design. And guess what? The OrCAD software comes pre-installed with hundreds of library parts, so you can start your designs immediately. And you're going to learn how to add these library parts to your design so we don't have to start from scratch. But first, how do you make your own part library? I'll show you. With your project already open in OrCAD Capture, select the Project tab and make sure you choose Library, this folder right here. Now go to File, New, Library. The new library gets created in this Library folder in your project. Right click the library and select Save As to rename it to whatever you like. I'm going to name this L1, short for Library One and click Save. Now you can create your own parts by adding new parts to this…
