Challenge: Model operational data using distributions

(upbeat music) - In this chapter, I showed you how to work with data distributions. And in this challenge, I would like to ask you to work with three distributions. The first is the normal distribution, which has a mean and a standard deviation. And I would like you to perform the calculations that you see here on the right. I showed you how to use functions to find these values throughout this chapter. I would also like you to work with the exponential and Poisson distributions, so I will change to that worksheet. And you can see that I have a worksheet that tracks customers, so I have the interval between their arrivals, the arrival time, the service start, service time, the time the service is complete, and the wait time for the customer, if any. I won't go into the specifics of the lookup formulas but after you play with the worksheet and create the formulas to design a lookup table for both the Poisson and exponential distributions, when you recalculate your worksheet, you will…
