Course details

In this audio-only course from How to Be Awesome at Your Job, Kary Oberbrunner shares expert strategies for bringing your attention back to what matters most. Kary points out the need to be aware of how we give in to distractions around us. Multitasking, alas, is not the answer. As Kary explains, we can’t focus on two things at once. Instead, we wind up switching attention between the tasks, which results in lower productivity, despite costing us more energy. Kary discusses three keys to improve productivity and shares two triggers to encourage flow state. He goes over ways to improve your productivity by improving your mental health. Simple things like good sleep, healthy eating, and regular exercise do wonders for your brain. Kary also points out that community plays an essential role in helping us enter flow.
