Preparing the training moment

- I found most meetings are viewed as helpful and valuable when they help people grow just a little bit. In most meetings, you can provide that with a brief training moment. Call it whatever you'd like. The idea is to share a small portion of something useful and insightful with attendees. Keep in mind, this training moment is just that, a moment. Three minutes is ideal. That's about enough time to share a video or a quote and then a few words about it. If in-depth training is needed, you can hold a separate meeting for that, or even better, create a training video. Also, be aware that the meeting facilitator doesn't need to be the person who shares this training moment each time. In fact, it's probably best for the facilitator to ask a new person, privately and in advance, to share a thought at the next meeting. Encourage them to watch this video to help prepare.
