- By 2010, Pledger Monk had 16 years experience in the business and had become a highly successful financial advisor, enough so that newer advisors often came to him for advice. Well, in April of that year, one of those people was Toby Burkett. Now, Toby was doing okay, but he knew he could do better. And here's why he knew. He knew because he'd just finished a Toughman boxing competition a month earlier. And despite never having fought in his life, he came in third place in a field of 25 heavyweight fighters. And the reason he did so well was that he had a great coach, and he trained every day. Now, it reminded him that he'd always responded well to coaching. Growing up and even in college, his athletic and academic performance improved significantly when he had a good coach. So he told Pledger, "I'd like to find someone "to help me like that at work.
