Hi, I'm Matthew Clark. And this is Lesson 2.2: Developing an IoT Product Security Program, Part 1. In this lesson, we will look at the goals of an IoT product security program. We'll introduce the CPSO role and we'll discuss product security in the real world. So let's get started. When the organization launches an effort to stand up a product security program, there'll be certain goals that the business will want to achieve. First and foremost is the success of the business itself. An organization implements a product security program because they see it as a way to achieve broader organizational goals. Another goal is to ensure the safe operation of the IoT device. And another common goal might be to protect organizational and customer data and secrets. The success of the product security program is going to be most likely based not on technology, but on the ability to successfully integrate across functional areas.
