Hi, I'm Matthew Clark. And this is Lesson 5.7: IoT Bill of Materials, Part 2. In this lesson, we'll discuss product design, the BSP and the SDK, and we'll continue our discussion of supply chain. We'll also take a look at a case study for URGENT/11 and briefly review some security controls. Let's start our discussion with the term "Out-of-Box Experience." This term tends to illustrate how difficult a product is to use when you first pull it out of packaging. Well, hardware typically comes with both board support packages or BSP's and software development kits or SDKs. And it's really not an either or proposition because either both are included or you can download one or the other from the Internet. And both of these are used to communicate with the board or chip that's used on the IoT device in an effort to make it a little bit easier.
