Creating an artboard document
- [Instructor] So to get started here, what we're going to need to do is to create an artboard for our desktop layout. Now, artboards in Photoshop, in case you've never come across them before, are kind of a special sort of layer group. And the artboard itself will clip any contents placed on it to the artboard itself. Let's go ahead and make the one that we need for this particular chapter. So File, New or Command + N, that would be Control + N on Windows. So let's go ahead and do that. And what we're going to do, first of all, is we're going to make sure that our units are set to pixels. We're then going to set this, this might seem fairly low to you by the way, but we're going to set it to 800 pixels wide because that's the recommendation for a desktop email client. And client is the word you use for email software, just in case you didn't know or indeed, any sort of client software. Okay, so 800 pixels wide…
