- To reinforce the concepts we just learned, I'll use an analogy we can all relate to: emojis. Imagine you're playing a game with a friend where you can only communicate using emojis. You receive the following message. What? You don't get it? Well, the fact that we can't immediately understand pure emoji language is similar to how computers can't understand human language without parsing it first. So what's the first step to understanding this message? First in your head or on paper, you connect each emoji to a word that it could be associated with. I, run or go to, meal, office, time, two people, question mark. This represents automatic speech recognition, or ASR, converting the raw input into readable text. Next, you use context to find a potential meaning for the message. Let's say after scratching your head, you arrange them in the following way: "I am going to eat lunch at the office. Do you have time to join?"…
