From the course: Introducing Semantic Kernel: Building AI-Based Apps

Semantic Kernel sample apps

- So you have your app and you want to bolt in Semantic Kernel. You're looking for examples, right? Well, we have a few samples to get you started. If you love the ChatGPT magic where it can like summarize and pull out action items from your conversation, we've got that. We have the skills and the app example for you. We have a second example that does something truly magical, which is you can enter any topic you like and the system will generate a book for you, which you kind of scratch your head and say, "That's not possible." But we have the planner calling upon skills to take that ask, "Hey, write a book for me," to actually create an entire book. And there are moments like this with large language model AI where you say, "It can't write a book." But a prompt, a little prompt, can make you jump 10 feet, a complex prompt can make you jump 2,000 miles. And that 2000 miles, so write an entire book, happens in our sample app. So that's just a few of the samples. They work little magic and large magic. This is open source so we expect to see contributions of all kinds of new ways to use Semantic Kernel and especially the skills. So hope to see you there virtually in the repo and just be a part of this amazing moment because code matters, but also prompts matter for putting them together in the semantic kernel community.
