When a company mistakes its mission for its tech

- In 1975, an engineer at Kodak invented digital photography. He created the first digital camera, 1975. So how many of us today use a Kodak digital camera? Zero. And why is that? Well, you could make the case that of all companies, Kodak should have appreciated a digital camera because they were already in the film business. And what does film do? Film enables you to preserve the Kodak moment. But a digital camera is so much better at preserving the Kodak moment than chemicals on film. But the problem is that Kodak defined their business as we're in the chemicals business and we put chemicals on film, people expose the film to light, we expose the exposed film to chemicals, and guess what, out pops a slide, out pops a negative, out pops a print.
