- [Speaker] Now let's look at Smart Strings. Like the other smart instruments. You'll find eight cord strips here, each divided into four sections. Tapping a section of the chord strip gives you a pizzicato or plucking sound. Sliding your finger along the chord strip produces the sound of a bow across strings. The faster you slide, the more intense the sound. You can also do fast single slides to produce a staccato bowed sound. Across the top, you can see that the sounds you're hearing are violins divided into the first and second sections, violas, cellos and upright basses. You can tap on any of these to de-select or to select them. For example, if you only wanted a single cello holding a note, just de-select all the other instruments.
