I really wish that this was available when I first started working in Excel. We've got data from January through June, customer data that needs to be stacked up all in one place. Let's look at it. We've got customer, aquarium, type, which is freshwater, saltwater. The setting; residence, we've got a gym, school, law office and then the size of the aquarium. Well, February, March, April, May, June, Great. But notice February has type instead of aquarium. This is deliberate to show you that with this type of Append, the column order matters more than in name. With other Appends, the names matter. You can have the order is all different. Some can have additional columns that other tabs don't have. But the order is paramount here. I'm going to leave this as type. When you do this type of append by importing data from another file, a file path gets hardcoded into Power Query. And you have to make sure that the place where your source data is that is not going to change or is not likely to…
