- [Instructor] Okay, when you've got row fields and column fields all positioned nicely, you might want to throw another field into the mix that adds yet another condition to the pivot table and that's a filter. So let's go ahead and do that. But first, I'm going to zoom in to make things a little easier to see. I'm going to click outside this pivot table here to cell F1 and then I'm going to go ahead and zoom in to about 130% here so you can see what I'm doing. And now click back inside the pivot table. Okay, let's say I want this whole pivot table to change and only show January's transactions. How would I do that? Well, I can go over here to the pivot table fields list, and I can drag months over to filters. And what happened is Excel added a filter here to the top of the pivot table. And what you can do then, is you can click the menu and choose a month, and the rest of the pivot table will update to just that…
