- [Instructor] One way to think about Power Query's joins might be to say, "okay, they're like an xlookup or vlookup." We've got one dataset on one side and another dataset on another side, and you can write an xlookup or vlookup to retrieve data from one dataset to the other. You can use them to match or compare datasets. But there's one thing that xlookup or vlookup cannot do that you can do in Power Query by using joins. Now check this data out! We got these auctioneers in column B, Chase down to Warren. We have their ratings and their level of experience in years. And over on the right side, we've got a list of professionals, the states where they have their licenses, what profession, and status. What I want to do is go through the first dataset and bring over the state and the status, as I'm only concerned about auctioneers. Now look at Chase.
