- [Instructor] Publicly-traded companies, of course have to do internal financial projections, but they also do external projections and presentations for investors. And one of the common types of charts that you see is what's called a walk chart or a waterfall chart in these presentations, let's take a look at an example. So I've pulled up the earnings slides for my local bank, Webster Bank or Webster Financial Corporation, and they have, in their slides, this pretty interesting looking chart, right? This graph is showing us Webster's level of credit losses on loans and leases or specifically the allowance for it. And what we observe here is that as of the end of December, 2022, Webster had a very low level of allowance for credit losses on loans and leases. It was at 1.2%. Fast forward to the end of the first quarter, it rises only marginally, 1.21%, despite obviously the macroeconomic turmoil taking place, you know where we have a lot of office buildings that are being…
