- [Instructor] Pivot tables let you reorganize your data dynamically, but you're not limited to just changing its arrangement. You can also select the summary operation to be used within the pivot table itself. In this movie, I will demonstrate how to make those changes. My sample file is 01_03_Summarize and you can find it in the chapter one folder of the exercise files collection. in this workbook, on sheet two, I have a pivot table that summarizes yearly sales data for three different categories of products, bath products, gift baskets, and olive oil. The current summary operation that is used in the values area is sum, and you can see that bath products in 2020 accounted for almost $20,000 of sales. Same thing a little bit higher, in 2021 and similar values for gift baskets and olive oil. If I wanted to change the summary operation from sum to, for example, average, I could right-click any cell in the values area. And…
