Overcoming uncertainty

- Ugh, learning how to regulate your emotions during times of uncertainty is such an incredibly valuable skill. When you can stay cool, especially when everybody else is freaking out, you have all the power and all the opportunity, and you're not wasting a lot of time on, you know, like I said, clinging to the past or wishing that things were different. I have a phrase that has really helped me navigate uncertainty and tragedy and life, and it's sort of a three-step process. So the phrase is, "Nothing bad is happening." Nothing bad is happening. Now, let me unpack this for you a little bit. Nothing bad is happening reminds me that it's a big universe and we're just a blip on a blip on a blip on a blip. The things that seem so dramatic to us now, in the larger, much larger scheme of things, aren't that big a deal.
