From the course: Electronics Foundations: Basic Circuits

What you should know

- Before beginning this course, you should already understand the fundamental electrical concepts of voltage, current, resistance and power. If you're unfamiliar with those concepts or just want a refresher on them, I recommend watching the Foundations of Electronics Fundamentals course first. Many of the topics in this course, such as signals and filters, are typically explained using complex mathematics and calculus. Now I'm not a huge fan of complicated math, so I focused this course on concepts and tried to keep the math as simple as possible. Unfortunately, the math is not completely avoidable. I will be using some basic algebra to rearrange a few equations, and I'll be using logarithms to express values in a unit called decibels. So if you're familiar with basic algebra and logarithms, you should be prepared for the math in this course.
