- [Instructor] When you have the structure of your data story figured out, just those segments or buckets of content in order, then you need to put more meat on the bones. Just like you might ask a toddler who isn't doing a good job expressing themselves to use their words, rather than throwing a tantrum, my advice to you is to use your words. This is a really simple but extremely powerful idea. You have your buckets of content with one or two word summaries, but what do they really mean? What are you actually going to include in your story? Well, if you tell that story in words, then you'll accomplish a few things. Number one, speaking the story out loud will confirm to you that the logic of your story works, that you're making your case in a coherent and effective way. Two, you'll also be proving to yourself that your story flows in a way that feels right.
