How product data drives business decisions

- [Instructor] Using data and analytics should always spring from asking questions. For example, "Why aren't more people subscribing or which feature should we build next?" and so on. Where this can really help with products is if we can present a business case. A business case is an ask for company resources, usually money and time to upper management. In product management, this can range from getting permission to test a new feature, to doing a product redesign, to building a new product, to implementing new enterprise software like FullStory, or even lowering subscription prices on your product. Keep in mind that depending where you are on the Org chart and how much autonomy and budget they give to product managers, the type of business cases you'll be making will vary. If you're an entry-level PM or product owner, you may need to make a case to pitch new features or minor design changes to a group PM or senior PM.
