- [Narrator] As useful and helpful as automated checkers are, they are far from perfect. For this reason, there's a step in the remediation process that only we as humans can perform. That step is called walking the tags tree. This step basically consists of a human walking through the tags tree to ensure that objects are A, tagged appropriately and B, are being read in the correct order. A checker can tell you if a figure is missing alternate text, but it doesn't know if texts should be a heading or if elements are out of order. Let me show you how to walk the tree in this document. I'm going to go ahead and come over here and open up my tags paint. Now, one of the things that I want to point out, and this is an issue that the Acrobat checker is not going to complain about, but it's one that other checkers may complain about.
